Dog Ears Books will welcome author Katey Schultz, who will read from her book, Flashes of War. The event is another in the Northport bookstore’s 20th anniversary “Ask the Writer” series, a format encouraging conversation between audience and guest.

Stories in Flashes of War come from many perspectives and bring a wide diversity of fictional voices to American contemporary military involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan. New York Times bestselling author and Traverse City native Doug Stanton, founder of Traverse City’s National Writers Series, calls Schultz “bold, ambitious, and brilliant.”
