Spinning the Wind!
Popular in the U.S. as early as 1880-1900, whirligigs are also known as pinwheels, buzzers, comic weathervanes, gee-haws, whirlyjigs, whirlybirds, or just whirly. Join instructor Dennis Armbruster in this fun class. You will make a whirligig featuring a woodcutter. You may want to invite a parent or grandparent to take this class with you – a great bonding memory.
We are pleased to offer two classes of two sessions each. This is the first class of the first session. Classes are $30 for Omena Historical Society members and $35 for non-members. There is a $5 materials fee to be paid to the instructor. Classes meet at the Omena Historial Museum.
Dennis Armbruster is a retired environmental manager and lifelong worker. He gives his time generously to building exhibits at the Museum
