HEXAGONS & FLOWERS IN YOUR QUILTED GARDEN!  If you can thread a needle you can join Sally Coohon in her ‘English Paper Piecing’ quilted block class. You will finish a lovely block adorned with six colorful petals about 3-4 inches each and the skills to make more on your own.  Classes are held at the OHS Museum and are for students age 14 and older and are limited to eight participants..  The cost is $30 for OHS members and $35 for non-members plus a $10 materials fee payable to the instructor.  Each class session meets twice and two sessions of the class are offered.   Please bring a pair of sharp scissors to class.

 NOTE: Students must be registered by July 7th so that Sally will have time to put the kits together.

Sally Coohon is the owner of Dolls and More in Northport where she teaches classes among many other things. Sally has been selling her handwork since she was five years old. She was in the hospital recuperating from a tonsillectomy when her doctor came along and found her knitting, and commented: “My wife can’t knit as well as that.”  He bought the item from her. Sally’s first sale!
