This summer's Thursday Evening Author series (TEA) at Dog Ears Books in Northport will host poet Rick Gilmore Loftus on Thursday, July 12. Loftus has lived on both sides of the Atlantic, in Ireland, Spain, Mexico, South Africa and Rwanda, as well as in New York and Michigan. He did many readings of his work while living in New York City and presently makes his home in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. Dress Whites is his first published book, very favorably reviewed by Kirkus Reviews. Loftus will read from his book of poems and also recount tales of life in the Big Apple.
There is no admission for TEA events, which begin each summr Thursday at 7 p.m. at 106 Waukazoo Street.
